…Bring May Flowers

You’re probably wondering where the first half of that phrase went. Hard as I tried to find one, I just don’t seem to have a suitable image for “April Showers,” unless you’d like to see pictures of my flooded backyard? I didn’t think so. I’m instead jumping right into the May flowers portion of the phrase, and you’re just going to have to deal with it. πŸ™‚

“May Flowers” – Pink Oriental Lilies bloom after a rainstorm.

These beautiful Oriental Lilies bloom for us every year in our front yard. They were originally potted plants used during our wedding, so you can imagine that we’re quite fond of them not only for their delightful blooms but also for their sentimental value as well. I was happy that the rain paused just long enough one day during daylight hours to allow me to capture the droplets glistening on their petals.

Thanks for stopping by today, and as always I love hearing from you. πŸ™‚

Stunningly vibrant colours, Erin. Strangely April for us was really quite dry, but now we are into May we are getting the rain and the wind – gales forecast for today. Blossom is going to get a hard time. The season is not conforming to the rhyme this year,

  4. Incredible colors there, Erin, wonderfully captured! I am so ready for spring this year, this shot is right on time for that! Love your work, my friend.
