“Upon a Frail Branch” – A Yellow-Rumped Warbler perched upon Umbrella Grass.

This Spring has blessed us with flocks of these adorable Yellow-Rumped warblers. They sit in the trees, hop along the ground, and pose on the fence just outside our back door. In fact I’m usually able to watch them while I sit at the very computer upon which I’m writing this blog! Their songs have greeted us on many a morning, and I’ll be sad when they fly north for the summer.

“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.” – Victor Hugo
