Lookin’ Out My Back Door

As a “part-time” photographer, it’s often difficult to plan your life around a photo shoot. Most of us have jobs, families and other obligations that take up the majority of our days. What we often forget is that our own backyard can provide us with ample photographic opportunities. This week I’ll be sharing images with you that I’ve taken right here at home. No planning necessary!

“Blooming Blues” – Blue hydrangea blossoms in Charleston, SC.

This gorgeous blue hydrangea sits about 10 feet from my back door, in a shady corner just beyond the reach of our patio. When it’s at its fullest, it measures more than 6 feet tall and is at least as wide. It blooms all summer long and is a source of great joy for us.

Thanks for stopping by today! I love to hear from all of you so please feel free to drop me a line below! πŸ™‚

“Busy” must be going around. I haven’t had much time to shoot, either. Resorted to the “around the house” photo shoot, myself.

  2. I agree Erin. Sometimes we have to look close by when we have limited time to get out. Beautiful shot.

Beautiful shot Erin. We sometimes forget what is right in front of us. Good advice.

Beautiful Blues πŸ™‚ A photographer can be much more creative when he/she have limited photo opportunities.
