Neon Alley

“Neon Alley” – Coast Bar & Grill

Today’s image comes to you from downtown Charleston, SC. This iconic neon sign draws people to the popular Coast Bar and Grill. Boasting fresh seafood served in what was originally an indigo warehouse, the 40-ft. ceilings add to the experience described on their website as “reminiscent of an eclectic beach bar.”

What I loved most about this scene was not only the delightful red glow from the sign, but also the lamp post and bicycle resting against it. As in many larger cities, bikes provide easy and affordable transportation for many residents of Charleston. For me, this was “classic Charleston,” and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures!

Thanks for stopping by today and as always, I love comments and feedback! 🙂

Beautiful night scene Erin. I have heard so much about Charleston and it has been on my list to visit for some time. Maybe next year. Thanks for your visits to my site and comments. Much appreciated. By the way, you have a very nice gallery of images.

I love this shot. The light from the sign really works well with the composition here. As for the bike, works just fine for me and makes the scene look like a modern take on those old views of Paris.
