Happy Fall, Y’all!

Now that I’ve gotten your attention–and raised some eyebrows at my choice of greeting–I bring you today’s photo. While it may not be of gorgeous foliage (it’s a bit too early in the season for that here in sunny South Carolina), the chill in the quiet air on the morning I took this photo had a distinct feeling of Autumn. This beautiful sunrise was taken in Aroda, VA, which is about 30 minutes outside Charlottesville (go Cavaliers!) in front of a family friend’s home.

This image reminded me of a quote from E.M. Forster: “What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives?

It’s a reminder to take in the things that surround you. Don’t forget to pause for a moment, even when life is crazy and you feel like you barely have time to breathe. Whether it’s a sunrise, the trees, or the night sky, take a break today and notice the beauty of your surroundings.

Man, that’s so cool. Love the clouds. You’re lucky you have those awesome fences out there to bring together your foreground. Good stuff!
