Shem Creek is located in the town of Mount Pleasant, just north of Charleston. It’s home to several waterfront restaurants and bars, and is also popular for paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and more. Fresh seafood is delivered right to the market here, and dolphins are often seen traversing the water.
I love the brightly-colored buildings here, but I love their reflections even more. Then there are the boats–ah, the boats. There’s something captivating about boats, particularly those with the character and charm these possess. Perhaps I was born for a life on the water? Only time will tell.
If you come to Charleston, there is no shortage of things to do and see. However, if you want a laid-back vibe and waterfront activities; take it from this Charleston girl, you’re going to want to pay a visit to Shem Creek.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Feel free to leave a comment below–I love to hear from all of you!
